Some regular readers might have wondered what became of Kobe the monster calf that we helped haul out of Hetty two springs ago. Well he went over, with his mum to live on the lands of the Stable Sprite and now earns his keep as a Bon Jovi tribute act.

I thought he would have been turned into real Kobe beef by know. Has he and his crazy dexter Mom become pets at your Stable Sprite's barn ? Or will they eventually be turned into steaks and hamburger ? I think you had Kobe gelded, and I won't think anyone would want to use a mixed breed bull to breed with. Has Hetty or Betty, Kobe's mom become pregant again since she had Kobe, or is that over with ?

Kobe is still intact and has a good set of horns but is a big softy. He will go for meat in the new year. Hetty is pregnant and due about Christmas time. Stable sprite.
Oh hi, Stable sprite, nice to meet you. Glad to know that Hetty is doing okay, did she run away again and get pregnant by a larger bull, or is your barn and pastures more escape proof ? I hope she won't have any problems delivering and that you won't have to do another c-section. As for Kobe, he has lived longer than most meat bulls, good luck with everything, and I hope Hetty's second or third pregnancy will go off without any hitches.
