Breakfast

No, this isn't breakfast as she as achieved pet status
but before breakfast Clot and yours truly was in the pig pen. Another tunnel had been discovered and so to prevent more mayhem (like pig eating all the bird food from feeders she has brought to earth) something had to be done. The variety of planks seen in this pic are a testimony to her mining ability.
Her day out ruined she consoled herself with an ear rub and a banana.
Work entailed a lot of paperwork and a check on how project KH250 was going, by the looks very well!
As MBAOSPW is going away mothers day has been extended and started Thursday evening.
Yours truly managed an hour or so playing with toys
and the number of projects on the go
really should be addressed.

Danger XG

My new friend (the clot) decided that an early morning jaunt up the bonsai mountain was needed and we found a very sad situation. The militia who own the Ghost House have some Pygmy Goats and last night one had obviously exploded and its remains were in the centre of the field.
Its companion looked on in shock so I moved the remains of the detonation and put it out of sight before alerting the militia.
Hike on
Mrs Bear bringing up the rear
until we got top side
where the sun illuminated the dog cairn

snow across the valleys, but none here,
Later in the day clot got treated to my favourite 1980s arcade game which has almost been restored to working order. I even managed to get a good score.

Root of all evil

Today was the day that my tooth that has been the cause of so much pain for the last 6 months was removed. It took 5 injections and 4 minutes of strained effort by the dentist before the rogue molar finally yielded. The dentist then gave me some pretty strict instructions to ensure the bleeding stopped. He handed me a bleed pack and explained that yours truly had to rest, no strenuous activity to raise the blood pressure, no exercise or the clot (not me) would pop out and blood would flow. No strenuous activity then.. OK doc. By the time I got back to the car the clot (not me) had already given up and i dutifully bit onto the blood pack for 20 minutes.
Back home, the hay delivery arrived and needed unloading and stacking in the yet to be made weather proof bale store. We find that the set number of bales fits nicely but the job of moving them from the trailer to store obviously counts as strenuous activity as another blood pack was needed.
Then when it looked like the clot (not me!) would stem the flow unaided the ominous sound of a lorry reversing alerted both the clot and me that
more strenuous activity was needed, even with a crane to help the clot thought sod this and left.
After feeding the critters it was finally persuaded to return and we both sat down to watcg TV and feel sorry for ourselves.

Right turn

Make no mistake yours truly likes to walk, long distances which is just as well given the number of K9s needing exercise on a daily basis. Here we have the river in full flow when this time last week it was a mere trickle, lots of wet stuff falling.
So walking, with a purpose or for fun, ideal
but up there in the gathering clouds full of rain is Will.I.Am
who legged it a while back and steadfastly refuses to wander back of his own accord. Now that is fine by me, but MBAOSPW has sudden worries that he may have finally been turned into pies
which is why in the early evening yours truly was trudging across the wilderness looking for a very naughty pony.
Now, given the rain and the wind direction any sensible beast unable to be indoors would seek shelter which is why when I got to the top of the track I turned left, not right, as left led to the sheltered side, and sure enough the other side of the mountain near the base was a group of sensible horses. No Will.I.Am though. Faced with the unenviable task of returning to HQ with no news of pony yours truly trudged onwards, this time into the wind. A new discovery made
a memorial, never seen before.
Now I am at the point the beast was last seen, where the militia feed their sheep, free buffet in other words, but no Will.I.Am. However, in the far distance...
there was a distinct horse shape
and on super close up its him.
After 3.2 miles walking around and over the mountain the beast is located
and we are very happy to see each other.
The skyline, 200 yards away, thats where the track from HQ meets the ridge, had I turned right I could have saved myself some considerable effort.
Hes looking fat and happy, so mission success, he can stay a while longer. Until I return with a bucket of allure.

Bale out

The snow was in the ascendant today so yours truly had no option but to get on with big jobs and as a load of money had been forked out on preserved grass aka hay for the horses and it was arriving later in the week
the job at the top of the list was to construct a bale store.

Site cleared work could begin
and naturally I had a supervisor, today it was Mrs Bear
who was very diligent in enforcing building regulations
and inspected every joint
and surprisingly yours truly managed to get things pretty much level
which met with the glare of approval.
It took a lot longer than I had hoped so I missed the Ireland Scotland game
but end of the day an almost shelter was up, the lack of wood and torrential rain meant work had to cease.
Say cease, I still had to dig a drainage ditch down the far side to divert a new stream running off the bonsai mountain, a combination of melt water and the biblical storm brewing.

Deep and crisp and uneven

It was bitterly cold
which meant the critters needed some TLC and hot hay
Pronto was turned out
while Spotty2
and I got on with the stable. Todays task was to line it with plywood sheeting which will stop him kicking holes in the wall, instead he will kick holes in the plywood.
Misty was at it again. breaking fences with her backside thus adding another job to the list.
Ta Dah! dont be fooled by the spirit level being level, it was complete guess work as usual.
Child labour was coerced into action in an effort to get all jobs done in time to watch the 6 Nations match of the day (ooooh another set of dramas caused by the Tories curtailing free speech, poor Gary) England vs France which was a spectacular defeat 53 10 or similar to France.
I consoled myself with some more paintwork.
