No need for the picture. Even if Amanda rejoices in the blood lust. I've known lambs taken by foxes and ewes with their bellies ripped open by badgers and agree that rodents need to be taken out. But this macho, alpha male blood lust for the killing of the fox is way, way over the top and the picture will be very upsetting to some youngsters and others who, while appreciating your stance, will nonetheless not see the necessity for publishing it. Another take on the whole thing is to ensure that the poultry is secure, by not forgetting to close gates etc. Just give the basic facts and spare us your enjoyment of the kill.

Well done you. In the past 3 days we have lost both of our guard geese and I think 2 ex batts to Mr F, so this sort of picture makes my day in the same way as the fox made my livestock's.

There's no alpha male bllodlust, or enjoyment of killing, just a satisfaction that the job was done well. The pictures were anonymised to spare their relatives and they could just be sleeping. But thanks for your comment, and it is a small victory, another fox was in the yard this morning, two more spotted in the Oracles yard. Shutting birds away just deters the lazy, the persistant get in and kill every living thing.
