Not quite sure what possessed her, and unfortunately it was one of the few occasions I am out and about without a camera, but Fern here, or as she is more often called Ferny Fern from Fern land, decided to leave the flock and join the Dolyhir clan as we wended our way single file around the Bonsai Mountain. Perhaps she is in training for some sheep Olympics, whatever her motivation it was a long way for a small sheep. If there had been any passers by along the track they would have seen yours truly followed by six Bernese Mountain Dogs strung out behind and weaving her way up and down the line Ferny Fern the orphan lamb bleating with annoyance at the lack of buckets amongst the group. An hour later she was back in the yard and as a treat for her efforts got an an extra ration of feed before falling sound asleep amongst the building materials.
