Silence of the Renault

Back to work today, paid work that is, bit of a shock to the system, ours as well as the animals who have all got used to us being at their beck and call suddenly find they are left to their own devices for 9 hours.
Being at work had one advantage, the Catman was true to his word and so the catalytic converter was delivered to my office 24 hours after talking to him on the phone, www.catman.co.uk if you need an exhaust!
At lunch time a nice man called Steve, I kid you not, fitted it for £21. In total we saved five hundred pounds on the price quoted by the dealer.
Driving off from the garage was a pleasant surprise, we didn't need ear defenders and could converse by talking rather than shouting. Rene is in fact the quietest he has ever been, even the annoying rattle that happened every time we accelerated has gone, obviously the exhaust was on the way out from the day we bought him.
Back at the ranch the animals are fed and watered, all is well and this little beastie was on the side of the compost bin, a common lizard, which was helping itself to leftovers.
