These two little dots, no bigger than bumble bees when they hatched are now four days old. Chinese quail, from a batch of six eggs placed with more hope than expectation in the incubator and left to get on with it. Two have hatched and so far have not drowned, got eaten by vermin cats or died of hypothermia.
Sat against a 50p you can see how tiny these new additions are!

Wow! Tiny-weeny alright and beautiful. I've always loved quail (not eaten any!)and enjoy the eggs which are minature works of art. Do hope they survive.

Me too! It was a big decision to for go those lovely little fried eggs, but if these two bumble bees survive it was worth it!
