Fun in Folkestone

I was worried travelling on the easter bank holiday would mean traffic chaos but in fact the motorways were empty and we covered the 250 miles in just over 4 hours.
Once there I soon set about finding the boys work.
The grandkids were happy to see me and gave me my birthday cards and present.
Before putting on an entertaining wrestling match.
Yours truly had the foresight to pack his kite shield
very handy accessory when visiting the Battle of Hastings and getting the mob to re-enact various crucial bits of the battle.
Art mate.
This is a big helmet.
Romney Marsh was just that, a marsh.
Compulsory free visit to the museum, all grandparents love a free visit.
We went bird watching and saw one.
The we went shed spotting which was an easier task.
The kids stormed the WW2 bunker
and then escaped.
RRMK2 tried to hold back the tide
and found some inedible sea life.
I found some edible ex sea life at our Fav Chip Shop.

We explored the harbour
and wondered how to get to the holiday cottage
Terrys cottage (its orange, hence Terrys) had a big step up to the front door.

The children never watch snooker, unless its on a massive huge screen.
The kids have released a new album.

The end of the pier.
The end of ice creams.
Prototype icanfoster staff car.
The kids got a letter from dad who is away on exercise.
Lego time.
More Lego time.
Finished.
RRMK2 fashion shoot
Under arrest for being a rebel.
Pretty boy haircuts.
Back to the cinema, not Dungeons and Dragons this time, Super Mario.
I found a really really old advert, 1982, this bike now sells for 10k!

More lego time.
Meatballs and pasta time.
And so another adventure in Folkstone ended and we returned to the shire.
