I never use it as a rule

I have a really useful ruler I use on the rare occasions I do what I loosely refer to as carpentry. Its great as it folds up to a foot long but extends to eight feed. Its bright yellow so hard to lose, solid, so rigid, excellent for guestimations and ideal for the home bodger trying his hand with a bit of wood and a saw. It obviously has qualities I knew nothing about, such as its very tasty and wonderfully chewy. I think its usefulness as a straight edge has come to a premature end.
