Bless them

The K9s went mental last night prompting a cursory glance into the darkness to find out what was the cause of the cacophony. As luck would have it Trevor and Benjy were bored with playing hide and seek and had found their way in the dark back to their hot and cold running hay
where they settled to a quite night behind a Will.I.Am proof gate.

Hide and seek again

This mornings routine was disturbed somewhat by the realisation that Will.I.Am had let all the other ponies out of the corral. Which was why yours truly set off around the Bonsai Mountain looking for the Rock HQ hide and seek champions. The ghost house has now doubled in size, still work in progress but looking a lot different.
Fiveways, no sign of Trevor or Benjy, Benjy managed to hide for over 8 months last escape.
Upper Hanter, no sign, so yours truly was feeling confident that the little rascals had not in fact gone too far as there were no fresh horse lumps or trotter marks on the soft ground.
But as I headed home for the school run
it was clear that this was to no avail, the ponies were too good at hiding and the horse food I was carrying lacked the allure of a blue bucket.
So unless I have walked past them in the dark and they were close to the house,  tomorrow looks like its going to be a longer walk day

Dirty boy

Will.I.Am our free range horse decided that it would be a great idea to go for a synchronised
mud bath with his best mate Pronto.
He now wants a brush down. This may take some time!

True colours

It has been a sunny couple of days which meant a short walk to the river
with the boys
and Spotty2
who is a stunning dog
much like his namesake Spotty, here seen on the summit of Glyder Fawr five years ago (RIP Spotty)
The colours this autumn have been simply superb.
Spotty leads the way
while RRMK2 makes use of the trees for some extra PT.
Dens have to be made
Spotty didn't want a kennel though.
In all a great way to spend a relaxed afternoon
taking in the sights, sounds and smells of nature.

A bit bigger

Of late, 2 years, I have mostly been painting 10mm high figures, these are slightly bigger, 30mm from the classic sci fi film Aliens.

Ta-Dah!

Its taken a while (read 12 years) but the annex is finally finished provided the
definition of finished means just the wind framed need painting and all the water tubs need linking up and the overflow to the drain, replace the front door, finish wiring and sort out the one light that just refuses to work like its 9 friends do.

Changing rooms

The time to stop messing about with the games room had arrived
so yours truly doing as he was told spent a very productive day piling up the furniture
and under the expert supervision of a number of K9s
who took it in turns to get it the way
the living room was changed from a dull green
to a light denim with a space wolves grey wall
and arctic white ceiling. The ceiling was the second attempt as yours truly initially turned up with a can of yellow paint thinking the label on the tin was the actual colour you were buying. Turns out its not and Jasmine White is in fact yellow. Who knew?

Sign of the times

RRMK2 absolutely insisted I record this at the local supermarket, he thought it was really funny. The sign reads that the store apologises for the limited choice due to supply shortages. Like he said, limited choice? No choice more like.

Sign of the times people :)

Inside out

With the inside of the games room almost complete attention turns back to the outside. The extra capacity guttering is now linked to 3 water barrels who rest on a new concrete platform and the cladding is slowly getting done giving further weather proofing. While digging the gravel out my car keys turned up, obviously I put them on the annex roof and forgot and they washed off at some point. Not sure they are much use now and as the car now belongs to someone else its a moot point.

Equine hide and seek champion

Will.I.Am a free range pony at Rock HQ had not been seen for two days, which is about as long as it takes for the other equines to empty the feed ring of hay. Much to both of our surprise he was found in the bale store having opened the door and helped himself. The door then closed behind him hence his absence.
