Off we go

The poorly Divvy got loaded up and sent to the menders
and I am hoping it doesn't cost too much to fix.
Meanwhile...nerd alert... Macedonians are on the way to getting finished after 3 years.
My weeds are growing.
Ursu is looking much happier.

Happy Fathers Day

Ursu was in the same place we left him
and as it was fathers day yours truly was treated to breakfast with the clan
who are just as mad as ever
but posed for pictures
More treats, Oakchurch icecream.
The dogs are changing places
with them trying out
various sleeping spots.
More treats, mixed grill and zero Guiness.
Treats can go wrong.
Bedtime

24 hour delivery

The scene at 2.30 the set time for delivery of our new rescue dog, this is 2.30 am by the way, having crossed the 2.30 pm 12 hours ago and realising that they in fact meant AM. No delivery so yours truly went to bed. 3.30 the phone rang to say they were outside Rock HQ, a quick look from the window ensured the inaccuracy of their claim while where am I app on the phone revealed they were at Rock Cottage, but one 54 miles away. More zzzzz
and 5.30 Ursu arrived from Romania.
Ursu means Bear in Romanian, he is an old gent who was chained up and ate his own paw to escape
unlike our K9s he was not used to a life of luxury
so we decided to give him some creature comforts for his old age.
He soon settled, zonked after 3 days in the back of a van.
The time had come for another clearout of the workshop, helped by Darcy
and much treasure was sorted through for recycling, dumping or selling.
Ursu made his nest under the TV and all was well in the world.
Found this pic of yours truly from 20 years ago, looking smart in my Navy uniform. Actually Kdeith and I look like overdressed out of work bouncers.

A cunning plan

Yours truly pondered long and hard about big buts and while Little Richard and I unloaded more fodder for the useless ornaments
a cunning plan
sprung to mind, not involving LR and his big super duper road worthy trailer, no thats too easy.
This one involes
this small unroadworthy wheel less trailer.
An intrinsic part of the plan. This isn't though, this is a pathetic retriever called Bee.

I like big buts

On my travels today came across this bargain, an oak barrel for cold water immersion humans for the use of. All I have to do is figure out how to get it home and how to get it out of their garden. Other than that its all sorted.

Cram it in

Today was such a good day yours truly was going to ride his motorbike a very long way but a series of unfortunate events occurred, but before them, here we are walking dogs and in the far distance is a deer
zooom in and we can just make it out in all its Bambi goodness, odd that it should be out in the open, out so late and out for so long, usually its blink and you miss it.
Back to bikes, kitted up and red hot under the collar set off only to get to the gateway to the world and find it leaking fuel really really badly, not that a fuel leak could ever be considered goodly. So back to the house, change and off in Moby to see a friend who has an obsession to collect all the worlds motorbikes, so far he is doing quite well.
Mine that he is building from a box of bits
and its nearly done. Just needs a new seal, though how you fit an aquatic marine mammal in such a small space is beyond me.
Until such seal is trained the noisy little kwacker sits waiting.
Outside there is this one.... oooooh a nice shiny red one which obviously goes faster. Sounded lovely but I was unable to have a ride as I had not got my gear, which I would have had if I had been on my steed.
Back at the ranch the boys decided to cook! Chick pea curry and spagetti bolognaise.
Went down a treat under the watchful eyes of K9s.
Having had dinner cooked another patrol was fitted in
and the world was a good place in all its sunny greenery
so we tarried a while at the waters edge, ignoring the flying bitey things that wanted to feast on our flesh
and as the sun set
the tired doggos
cooled off
and we headed back happy that our solar panels were working to the max, well at least until its dark.
This is the view of the sunset from the reservoir because when I got back MBAOSPW let me know that we had no water
meaning something must be done, this involves making sure the reservoir pump is working, water is above the the blue pipe level so it can run downhill into the cottage, that the air lock now created is freed by disconnecting the water pipe after the stop cock in the utility room but you then have to turn the water back on so several gallons spill out with the released air, then jam the pipes back together and fasten hoping that the pressure built up is enough to activate the water pump so supplying the house. We actually run out a lot less than we used to now that the apprentice is routinely tasked to check the water lever and activate the first pump. Kids must have some uses.
This is my cow parsley AKA Hog Weed, not Giant Hog Weed but big enough.
This was sent to me the other day, me in 2003 on my Suzuki just before it caught fire.
And this, how proper motorbikes were advertised in 1980.
