Paving the way

The third phase of drains started today and coincidentally so did rain of biblical proportions.
The big digger made short work of putting 3 new drains across the drive
and while it was at it laid a new surface on as much of it as we could afford.
This meant for a while Moby had to perch on the mountain
while lorry loads of stone filled the cavities caused by years of poor drainage and our traffic.
This is erosion in progress
so a french drain sorts it out
this the biggest of the 3
and needed a whole lorry of stone to itself
which the apprentice manfully dropped in the right place, at least in his imagination he did.
There was a slight problem of the Rx4 in the way but that was solved (thats another story)
The whole lane would need some 250 tons of stone to resurface and as we could only afford 80 some of the drive had to make do with having the mud scraped off.
Attention turned to the old pig pen, no before pic but the digger made short work of the massive piles of pooh
and created a huge new area for stuff.
I meant for turning around in. Not stuff. Stuffs bad.
