There was absolutely no chance that there would be any glimmer of sunshine on todays patrol as we were in an amber weather warning for rain.
When the forecaster describes the current downfall as relentless you know its going to be a bad one.
So instead of ascending the Bonsai Mountain (here)
Yours truly (here) set off up to the summit of Worzel Wood
with two soggy doggies, Noel and Spotty2 where we listened to
the rain. the wind in the trees, and a myriad of birdcalls without a care in the world.
The soggy doggies made hard work of the brambles
but appreciated the newly cleared paths
but when it came to the river crossing
refused.
