Bye Floof

Yesterday was a sad day at Rock HQ, the owner of this collar did not survive the trip to the V E T .
Floof, on account he was so floofy, was never a strong pup and he persevered for some 8 months having lots of cuddles and premium cuts of meat in the hope that whatever it was that made him poorly would go. But yesterday morning he was very unwell and even more floppy than usual. By midmorning he was staggering around in a very confused state, he had gone blind, and by lunchtime when we got to the vet he had all but passed out with the highest temperature we have ever seen in a dog, 41 degrees. Meg the VE T and Beth the VN were very kind but it was a hopeless situation and the kindest thing was to let Floof across the rainbow bridge. The cause of his demise was most probably a liver shunt. Normally if a pup has it they die within weeks, Floof stayed long enough for cuddles and steaks.
