Surprisingly they were up and at them early doors
which was just as well as we had a lot to pack into the day and Moby.
The boys showed off their war wounds from falling on the rocks
big ouch but very stoic about it.
The apprentice found the axe and pondered what fun he was going to have with it.
Packed away we resupplied at the supermarket, the boys opting for mainline sugar rush while I took the long way round to
getting my own
sugar rush. Much prefer mine.
Stomachs suitably lined we made Malliag in plenty of time to
load up the Gypsy Rover who is only sea worthy due to the layers of paint on the rusted hull.
Chugging at a lot less than walking pace but faster than I can swim we set out
with the apprentice driving
cautiously past the fish farms.
The weather was ok, some sea views
and the cross could be seen clearly against the grey sky.
Home for the next few days hove into view
which meant a frantic unload RRMK2 valiantly fighting gravity.
All done boats away.
Weather changing, it was good to be back! Ardintigh, Tom McClean's adventure centre. Home of a real life hero.
RRMK2 speaking to Moby.
Kayak inflation in progress.
So many views so little time
a little cooking fire.
The apprentice definitely has my love of cold water.
He spent ages in there
Tom and Richard
Warming up by the fire
watching the sunset eating hotdogs
cooked on an open fire
and whittling sticks
paradise for boys
so as the sun set
where it doesnt really get dark
the boys settled
to sleep. Fat chance!
