What could possibly go wrong?

The apprentice isn't really praying, although he would be best advised to as today, for the first time ever, yours truly not only used a bike trailer, but a bike trailer loaded with some very precious cargo, the apprentice and rug rat mkII. This exercise was conducted under strict safety guidelines, read, on a whim, as was the purchase of the trailer gizmo. It, like so many things fell into the category of seemed like a good idea at the time and if successful it could be used at Centre Parcs should we ever go again.
Out of box the trailer gizmo slotted together in less than five minutes without the need for instructions and a further two minutes to attach to the bike, it being a very technical mountain bike and not intended for trailers the rear disc brake meant that the safety strap in the event of detachment would not secure but as the detachment would mean the rear wheel would fall off I figured the safety line was an optional extra as I would know if the cargo was no longer there (quite apart from the absence of children shouting faster faster!)
A few promising circuits of the turning circle and we were off down the lane at slightly less that mach 1.
Top of the hill we posed for the picture for the before shot, just in case of a wipeout and air ambulance ride.
Naturally we had an observer, here is Rippers watching us approach
and here she is watching us go by.
My beautiful and oh so patient wife's sadistic streak was exposed by her positioning the camera on the hill for the return trip, ego prevented any stopping until out of camera shot
but I was caught a few minutes later having a brief stop.
Verdict.
Kids thought it was great fun and no broken bones from anyone so far.
A winner then.
