Even I had to concede that my faithful work boots have finally died. They have served me well and been used for many roles. I used to wear them when I was an assault course instructor for the Navy, they were a stand in hiking boot while I waited for my current pair to arrive for my birthday, and they have stuck by me thick and thin on the smallholding. It was hard saying goodbye and they were giving a Viking funeral this afternoon so I cannot change my mind.
