Roscoe the latest Bernese to join the clan went for his first summit of the Bonsai mountain.
He could not have chosen a better day for it
as it was glorious, after weeks of dull grey we all made full use of the yellow globe that appeared.
Back on the summit RRMk2 rebuilt the cairn
before settling down to share his snacks with the very inquisitive K9s.
We were treated to an inversion, where the high pressure keeps the lower slopes fogged over, in fact the fog is almost on the border with England being dull and grey still.
Roscoe was very happy with his summit success
which no doubt will be the first of many.
Mrs Bear was there too, still going strong aged 11.
The fog started creeping out of England as the sun set so it was time to head home
but down an exciting route
which Mrs Bear knows well, here she is waiting for us to catch up.
The fog got thicker as we descended and by the time we got back to HQ things were back to dull grey again.
