climbing molehills

At a mere 886 metres
Pen y Fan is but a molehill in the
mountain world.
But its still a good walk and as it was the 5th anniversary of our Kilimanjaro summit
three of us and 2 K9s took a stroll to the top.
It was BeBes first summit
but she is a mountain dog so smashed it.

It was also Roscoe's first summit which he managed better than he did being on a lead.

BeBe stuck to healthy snacks while
Roscoe saved himself for a jumbo hotdog from the van.

Second helpings

Another brilliant start to the day.
The type of start that
reaffirms how great life is
and how lucky we are to live in
such a brilliant place
with our family, critters
and amazing friends.
Life is good.
So enjoy your day people
and don't be inadequate, be good :)

Then and Now

This is what the ghost house used to look like a few months back...
bit different now, even got a spa!
This pic popped up in the memory box, Spotty and his dad Rocky, a pic from 6 years ago. Amazing dogs.

This is them now, a picture done for us to remember them by.

Bright and early

Managed to get outside before sunrise a coupe of times this week

and as ever
it was glorious.

Big jobs

Part of the day was spent considering . This involved standing and looking at stuff and wondering if it was such a good idea in the first place to even start, but its too late now, its started so I'll finish. Not necessarily quickly but eventually as inevitably as the sun rising this big job will be finished. Primarily by breaking it down into little jobs. Finding that the wooden big bits were too heavy to lift that was left for a day with more muscle, the tin was given to an itinerant tin collector with scant regard for health and safety in relation to trailer loads and the pooh was left for a day when I felt more inclined to move it.
Instead I unloaded the horse box of the lovely metal panels I bought to establish just exactly what they were. After several combinations and a lot of time I decided that more research was required and went back to HQ for a cuppa and some more considering.

A breath of fresh air

In the guise of a field test yours truly managed to spend a morning "working" testing
our new branded gear
on the wettest day of the year, so far.
Which is why Spotty2 looks so excited
as the field test of our icanfoster beanies, mountain jackets and shirts
could not have got off to a better start given the stair rod rainfall.
He sensibly took shelter while we faffed about testing the waterproofness of pockets and the wind defeating properties of the outer shell.
Luckily full submersion was not required

Safely down a quick cuppa and mince pie and we were off. Results of the test? well we ordered 20 of everything so they must be good!

Feeling it

On yet another trek to the summit
of the bonsai mountain
yours truly felt distinctly under the weather
but we made it.
Oooooops!

Not me, but three members of the household, its gonna be a fun five days :)

Dance yourself dizzy

RRMK2 is a law unto himself most of the time
which is why
he refused to walk up the
bonsai mountain with us
instead he chose to
salsa the whole way
except this bit
