Yesterday this salesman was so good at demonstrating his wares that he slept the best part of the afternoon on one of his garden sofas.
Team Red Kite had a surprise visitor, Adam Henson from Countryfile who posed for several pics and congratulated us on our hard work.
Today the rain set in, well it is summer afterall, and yours truly spent a greater part of the day riding a tame dinosaur called George.
Much to his, and my, surprise we got a visit from the defenders of the realm, two members of The Rifles, the one closest to George was my platoon sergeant who, like me, looks a bit older than last time we met, but who still tried to recruit me to take part in a 50 mile endurance race in October, this based on the fact that last time we were out on the hills together we won an orienteering competition and we occasionally cross paths on the BBMC.
The apprentice paid a visit and joined the Navy driving a boat for as long as his pocket money lasted.
Here's George with Hero, the mascot of Helping Hero's.
And the apprentice getting a hug
before getting back on the water.
An exciting day, one where the mystery of the missing tent deepened. Yours truly went and mingled with another fostering agency four pitches away from ours. After much banter I asked if the tent they were in was theirs as it looked permanent. No it wasn't. Curiously they were not expecting a tent, it was there when they turned up. Whereas yours truly was expecting one and it wasn't there.
Funny that.
