A new low!

The big freeze continues here, minus 9 across the valley, minus 12 just down the road in Sennybridge and at ten in the morning when this picture of the Bonsai Mountain was taken it was still minus 6. This has had an effect on the critters here at Rock HQ, they are usually keen to be fed anyway but at the moment every step is hazardous as you risk life and limb on ice or crush injuries from enthusiastic herbivores eager to see whats in the bucket you are carrying.
Its definatly the coldest since we moved here, and the snow has been here since the 21-12-09 and seems to be waiting for more. The scenery is quite spectacular which more than compensates for the frostbite and sheep related bruising. As the sun set today the snow reflected the colours turning the cauldron salmon pink.
