Wild garlic and a weird orchid 

 

Four seasons in one day

The weathers always interesting and the last 24 hours we have had immense biblical downpours

clear skies, snow flurries

frost

more snow

and warm sunny spells.

But by the end of the day it was back to the white stuff. 
 

On a different scale

Nerd alert time.....

3d printing was never something yours truly paid much attention to 

until it became obvious that the whole world of wargaming was going to be turned on its head 

with people producing computer designs that you could just download and 

create the most amazing models, in this instance the APC from the film Aliens. 

The apprentice has commandeered it for games against his killer robots 

but as I have printed the drop ship I'm too busy to play. 
 

Make way

The gym has had a clear out and rearrange so we can get a bit more stuff in, like a full drum kit and disco lights. 

The nordic trainer arrived today, here being inspected for booby traps by Benson. 
 

Its for charity mate

With yours truly just getting over a bout of covid and his support team off with bereavement and covid the fundraising for charity fell squarely on the shoulders of the apprentice who in a rash moment declared he would raise money by cycling 20 miles for comic relief. 

Never having cycled more than half a dozen miles this was something of a challenge, even on Zwift, but he set a cracking pace getting a PB for 5 miles.

He certainly showed he has determination 

and under the watchful gaze of several K9s 

he pressed on, note the folded towel, he has discovered how uncomfortable bike saddles are!

Finally he crossed the finish line

really happy

if a tad exhausted.

His lil bro RRMK2 made supportive comments 

and after some cola 

the apprentice hobbled back in to the cottage 

a bit sore but very proud.

20 miles in one hour 35, amazing effort and he raised about £350 for comic relief. Yours truly is a very proud Dad. Its nice to have children who are so caring and well adjusted, who want to contribute to society. I am a lucky man. 
 

Trying my patience

A long time ago when we first moved to Rock HQ there was a rule. No horses. 

This rule was almost immediately broken by MBAOSPW who bought Will.I.Am into our lives and since then he has been causing havoc. Today he spent most of his time being where he shouldn't. First indicator was when he was caught sneaking out of the feed store, his reason for leaving was not a sudden attack of conscience, no, he had spotted easy pickings by the Shitlands so was off to help himself to theirs. Once scoffed he returned to the scene of the original crime.  

Evicted from there he headed for the games room and 

attempted an entry so was again chastised and evicted

only to compound his crimes by heading for the garden which is where he was finally caught and put back in the field. No horses!
 

Listen with mother

Not only did yours truly manage to get back from a great heavy metal gig driving through the night back to HQ with losing an hour sleep due to summer time time (hurrah) I also managed to create a floral and balloon display to celebrate what a wonderful mum MBAOSPW is and what a great grandma the worlds best mother in law is. The day was spent attending to their every needs, well it is only once a year so effort should be made. 

It being such a sunny day the boys were banished to the garden for some much needed vitamin D. This is RRMK2's version of playing outside, sat reading a minecraft magazine. 

The apprentice was sat in the swinging chair reading The Beano. A few words were had with them both about what actually constitutes outside play and they went off to play on the trampoline. 

Ahem!

 

Having a GOOD time

Nothing like being able to let your hair down and having a GOOD time which is why yours truly travelled all the way to Stoke to see the best up and coming heavy rock band. 

All other bands just seem, well. inadequate really by comparison.
