Total wipeout

The apprentice has been following my wheels regarding mountain biking and after I risk assessed the MTB route on The Gower as too dangerous for him I took him out for a quick spin on our lane, I mean what could possibly go wrong?

The following pictures show, quite a lot really. Poor lad went right over the bars at about 20mph his helmet saving significant damage to the contents of his head. But the rest of him...

Gravel rash cleaned and with medical aid by remote control (whatsapp messages from a paramedic) the brave lad soon recovered and was able to enjoy the unabated sympathy and guilt trip from his father who chose to take him down a steep gravel slope at home instead of a soft sandy slope on holiday.
So he say soaking up the sun in the newly reclaimed garden, a consequence of lockdown being that the battlefield now looks something like a place of tranquillity and peace rather than a Bernese Mountain Dog play area.
