Some kind of record

 I think it was 1994 when I bought my last vinyl album and that was Pink Floyd Momentary Lapse Of Reason, bought so as to be able to get tickets to their concert, and here I am a lucky man on his 53rd birthday playing prog rock (not while milking goats) on a record player bought BMBAOSPW.  Quite why she bought someone who has the unlimited capacity to hoard and collect an item that so lends itself to hoarding and collecting remains to be seen.

 So birthday treats involved space flight and pointing.
