A ray of sunshine

Light was shining from the end of the University tunnel today when I got an email confirming that I had passed my last assignment with my highest score yet. The lead examiner of this piece is the lead researcher into the subject so to get good feedback on detecting deception in young offenders from one of the most eminent writers on the subject is praise indeed. The small matter of the dissertation still hangs over me like a cloud but this lifted slightly today with another email from uni saying that my pitiful mewing over the complexity of the sums had hit a nerve and they were willing to give me another 12 weeks to grow a brain.
