Fair weather biker
As the remnants of Hurricane Bertha kept us all indoors, thus missing out on a sunday roll out with other Mamils, life was spent doing more mundane tasks like housework. This was punctuated every half hour or so by the apprentice enthusiastically pointing out the sun was shining which obviously meant he could go and use his paddling pool which was over flowing thanks to the 2 inches of rain that fell overnight. Cabin fever was prevented by the arrival of old friends who were passing so stopped for a cuppa and update before they set out back in the wind and rain to continue their southern advance. By nightfall the wind picked up and after rescuing pot plants that had blown across the garden we battened down the hatches and placated infants.
