Seems like a funghi
The weathers been mental, and thanks to incredibly bad timing I got drowned along with 4 of the Dolyhir Clan when, had I left it 10 minutes, we could have completed our evening sojourn dry.
The extra moist humid conditions have caused us to break out all fungal, finding this amazing example by the Oracles abode.
Question is, can I eat it? Or rather can I eat it without getting effects similar to LSD, laxatives or sudden death.
We are down some more pork today, 2 more Berkalitzas went to forever homes, well, forever lasting until first week in November when they go to the celestial sty. Mind you the way the family we oooing and aaaahing over the trainee bacon it wouldn't surprise me if there was a reprieve!

TB or not TB, that is the question.....
Our friends the vets have been back to Rock HQ, this time for our annual TB test on the mad cow Hetty and her giant offspring Kobe. Someone who was organised would have this entry illustrated with pictures of both beasts so instead here are some pictures of everything but. Two days ago our favourite vet stick a sharp pointy object into Hetty's neck and today was the day to see if she reacted in any other way than by trying to kill all humans in her pen jabbing her with needles.
Thankfully both bovines were non reactors (non nuclear cows), meaning both were free of TB, which means we can now sell them. Yes we have made that decision, Kobe, the much awaited calf, the happy but expensive accident is just too cute to consider turning into burgers, by us anyway, and Hetty's desire to re-enact the whole saga means that instead of a helpful housecow we have a sex starved maniac who spends her life plotting liaisons with beef. The milk we had planned her to give us goes into Kobe, we get ours from two agoraphobic goats, so the logical conclusion has to be that she goes. Soon.
Paul also boosted the Berners, each one had a jab for various doggy diseases, Reuben made a complete arse of himself and cried like a baby. Bliss was also checked over and again she is not in pup, not sure why, either Reuben is a Jaffa or Bliss is not trying hard enough.
The weather turned funny again, the wind has picked up and its raining. Hard. Again. British summer, best in the world.

Dog tired
My Daddy is too tired to write about the things that happened today so I thought I would show you a bucket I filled with sand.

Almost there!
Its been like living one of those makeover programmes, except we have had to do all the work, but we have almost finished and its almost time for the treasure hunt. Hopefully the sun will shine and all those brave or daft enough to visit will enjoy the walk, find the treasure and eat lots of pork.
Work did have to stop for a while as Iggle fed her piglets.

Another day older
Half Six. Ponder weather, and the task ahead, move 16 tons of gravel making some sort of path arrangement in the garden.
Naturally I had an audience.
But by 9 am the first section was laid. Breakfast.
Midday second bit done, making progress. Have to stop to sort critters. Torrential rain making it so much fun.
12.45 think better get ready to go to office. Then two ton of bark chips arrives and blocks car in.
1.45 all moved to play area, quick change and off to meeting only slightly late.
6pm back to it. Main bit done. Steps to go. Stop to fill Rabbit World with gravel, this takes 56 buckets full. Stop when arms drop off. More of same tomorrow!
Anyone get the Johhny Cash reference in the title?

Fabulous Fabio!
Early doors saw us squelching around the smallholding enjoying the summer weather (WooZah looks like how I felt) knowing that today was the day the question would be answered. Could a 6 wheeler get up our lane and deliver 16 tons of gravel. Amidst the bird song another sound could be heard, the low growl of a turbocharged diesel engine.
From the dense greenery of the lane the rear end of a massive truck appeared moving so purposefully that I barely had time to take this picture before it squeezed between the green Valentines trolley ( a very romantic gift from yours truly to my beautiful and oh so patient wife) and my trusty steeds.
I went to greet the driver expecting a colourful Celtic burst of profanities questioning my parentage for having made him reverse uphill for nearly a third of a mile. Instead I was met by a very cheerful chap called Fabio who could not have been more helpful. A nice contrast to the 8 wheeler driver who dropped off 300 concrete blocks in 2008 who I though had tourettes. Fabio was obviously made of sterner stuff and was able to take his truck where others feared to place their tread. He even patted our psychopathic shitland in a friendly way before nearly burying him in Herefordshire's best gravel. The type of gravel the quarry refused to recognise the name of, and the same that they tried to charge 2.5 times per ton more than the jolly nice builders merchants at Presteigne.
Fabio strategically dumped several piles of stone ready for yours truly's next mantest.
So tomorrow me and the wheelbarrow look like we are in for a busy day as all this has to be moved before the delivery of the play area bark, another wheelbarrow marathon, and the arrival of hayledge and straw. Should be a challenge, especially given the severe weather warning.
